Shaun Wilson


Shaun is a founder and non-executive director of QxBranch, one of the first quantum computing software and data analytics companies in the world. He is also the founder of Shoal, a systems engineering house that focuses on large-scale and technology-intensive systems ranging from major defence systems such as warships and submarines, to constellations of satellites to public transportation systems.

Shaun has been active in his professional life for many years having previously chaired the Engineers Australia National Committee on Space Engineering and been national president of the Systems Engineering Society of Australia. He is also a former director of the Australian Space Research Institute, a life member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a member of the International Association for the Advancement of Space Safety.

Shaun holds a Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, a Master's degree in aerospace systems engineering, a Graduate Diploma in information systems, and a Graduate Certificate in business management. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was previously a board member of the Australian Defence Rapid Prototyping Development and Evaluation (RPDE) Program.
