Building Trust in Information – Information Awareness Month 2022

It is that time of year when we come together as one to celebrate ‘Information Awareness Month’ in May. Commonly referred to as IAM amongst peers, it is a collaborative event between various bodies within the records, archives, library, knowledge, information, and data management communities. This year’s theme Building Trust in Information will focus on trusted information which enables individuals, businesses, and government to make informed decisions that can be relied upon. From day-to-day operational decisions to ensuring that we have accurate and representative records of our history and society. Information Awareness Month 2022 highlights the importance of trust in information across all aspects of business and life, from people to technology. IAM 2022 is a collaborative insight into the key criteria for ensuring information can be trusted through governance, archives, records, data, privacy, and knowledge.
