Organisations are tasked with finding documents across the entirety of their data holdings for many reasons including: understanding data location across the enterprise for compliance with internal policies and regulatory compliance requirements; producing documents/data in response to legal proceedings and investigations; and document security reviews arising from the restructuring of government agencies.
Enterprise-wide searching often includes legacy systems not configured to enable searching, which together with the constant growth in data being collected and stored means the costs and risks involved in searching, reviewing and producing relevant records are significant for organisations.
This virtual discussion covered what a “search all the things” project can look like. What does it cost? How long does it take? What are common pitfalls?
